ADNAN OKTAR: Why should Masjid al-Aqsa be demolished? Masjid al-Aqsa will remain for all eternity. Why should it be destroyed? There is enough place there. There is a vacant land, it is a vast land. Prophet Solomon’s (as) masjid can be rebuilt there in a form faithful to its original. This is a beauty; for instance Prophet Abraham’s (as) place and the locations he had been, the regions where the Prophets Ishmael (as), Isaac (as), Jacob (as) and all other prophets should be built. Mosques can be built there. If he performed salat (regular prayer) somewhere, if it is said that he performed salat at a certain place, then a masjid should be constructed there. From then on, that place is a masjid. If it is known that he performed salat there, then that place should be considered as a masjid. And the demolished, old masjids. They will be rebuilt. Of course, by Allah’s leave, we aspire for this. We want it; this is, surely, one of the first things we will accomplish once the Turkish-Islamic Union is established. To rebuild Prophet Solomon’s (as) masjid. This is quite a distortion, and indeed a very remorseless distortion. Can I ever say, “Let’s demolish it?”
… By Allah’s leave, we will turn graves, masjids and the places where all holy people, Allah’s beloved servants, prophets performed their salat, into heaven. Insha’Allah, they will be places full of gardens and vineyards. And when the Turkish-Islamic Union is established we will accomplish it in a very short time insha’Allah. Insha’Allah all humanity will experience the beauty of that civilization, the depth of that love and that insane bliss. And let me say that no power can hinder this. I do not say, “It will happen”, I say, “It has just happened and people will see it.” I do not say something that I am not sure by a hundred percent. All-Mighty Allah has never embarrassed me, since I tell all these based on the hadith of our Prophet (saas). Everywhere will be prosperous insha’Allah.
