1. In the original Arabic edition of his work Al-kashf `an (fi) mujawazat hadihi l-umma al-alf, and Elluma fi Ecvibeti el'-Esile,(Imam Jalaleddin Suyuti, Commentary and Analysis: Said Muhammed Lahham, Beirut-Lebanon) the great Sunni scholar includes the hadith of our Prophet (saas). In the two hadith below, taken from page 10 of that work, our Prophet (saas) openly states that the life of the world is 7000 years. These hadith are related not by any ordinary individual, but by the great Sunni scholar Suyuti himself:
Anas recounted the words of Malik. He said that the Messenger of Allah (saas) stated:
THE LIFE SPAN OF THE WORLD IS SEVEN DAYSIIN THE AFTERLIFE DAYS. Almighty Allah said that a day in the sight of the Lord is like a thousand of your years.1 |
At-Tabarani Alkabiyr says: We told Ahmad Ibn Annadril Askari and Jafar Ibn Muhammad al-Aryani (or Uryani) and they said; We told Alvaliyd Ibn Abdul Malik Ibn Sarhul Sahrani and we told Sulayman Ibn Ataulqureyshilharbi, and Addehaak Ibn Zamlil Jahni said of Amr Ibn Abi Shajeati Ibn Rabiil Jahni and Sullamatu Ibn Abdillahil Jahni:
I had a dream and told it to Rasulullah (saas). He spoke the words inside him: O Rasulullah, I am with you on a seven-stepped pulpit, and you are on its highest degree. He (saas) said: As for the seven-stepped pulpit, I am on the highest step, THE LIFE OF THE WORLD IS SEVEN THOUSAND YEARS... |
2. In one hadith narrated from our Prophet (saas) by many scholars, such as Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, the time passing up until our Prophet (saas) is out at 5600 years, thus providing important information about the beginning of human history:
Ahmad Ibn Hanbal says:
Five thousand, six hundred years have passed from this world.

Caption : Five thousand six hundred years have passed from the world.
Author’s view: This hadith shows that the Ummah of Muhammad
will have a life of at least 1400 years.
3.The great Sunni scholar Al-Barzanji states that the life span of the world will not exceed the year 1600 according to the Islamic calendar, in other words, that by Allah’s leave Doomsday will take place some time in the 1500s. (Allah knows the truth.)
THE LIFE OF THIS UMMAH WILL EXCEED A THOUSAND YEARS, BUT NOT ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED YEARS…

Suyuti’s statement on the basis of the hadith handed down from our Prophet (saas) reads:
"THE LIFE OF MY UMMAH WILL NOT EXCEED THE YEAR 1500."

When all these hadith are examined together, it is clear that the life of the world will be 7000 years, that 5600 years had passed until the time of our Prophet (saas) and that the life of the Ummah will not exceed the year 1500.
